What we love most about avenue skiers is that they’re tinkerers. They struggle hits and rails time and again till they discover one thing that clicks. As an alternative of letting themselves be boxed in by what’s round them, they’re always looking for extra attention-grabbing options—generally, meaning they depart the streets altogether. On this movie made for ON3P, Oregon skier Jake Mageau (higher generally known as Mista Mango) met up with Jake Doan and The Bunch’s Magnus Graner and Jens Nilsson to movie this rowdy backcountry edit within the Nice White North.

The trio banded collectively to hit unbelievable pure and sculpted options that lie simply past the gates outdoors of Fernie and Revelstoke. Shot and edited by Nilsson, this inventive edit brings avenue type to the massive mountains and has us refreshing Customs and Border Patrol’s guidelines and rules by the minute.

To make this flick much more spectacular, Mageau informed POWDER that he filmed this edit whereas recovering from damaged ribs suffered through the making of his X Video games Actual Ski entry, for which he received a gold medal. Mageau hadn’t skied in six weeks previous to their journey. Let that sink in when you watch him spin a dub 12.
